Boston Trip: Day 1

Going to Boston has been something on our bucket list ever since we moved to New Hampshire and we finally made it there last week. Our good friends the McKenzies lived in Boston before coming to Dartmouth, so ever since Admitted Student Weekend we had talked to them about showing us around Boston at some point. They were fabulous tour guides and it was great to travel with friends who knew the area so well!

Me and Steph
We left home at 8 and got into the city around 10:00, just as the New England Aquarium was opening. Bryn hadn't been to an aquarium before and she absolutely loved it.

One of our favorite parts was the huge turtles in the center tank.

Right an hour or two at the aquarium we crossed the street and had lunch at Legal Sea Foods...which was kind of a morbid place to have lunch right after an aquarium, but we tried not to think about it :)
A few different friends had recommended Legal Sea Foods and it was delicious!
After lunch we walked through the North End and Little Italy, stopping by Paul Revere's home, and ending at Mike's Pastry for some famous cannoli. We had never had cannoli before, so it was a treat! (But I'll admit, it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be. It was good, but over-hyped).

We did more exploring and had fun watching the street performers around Quincy Market.
Walking through Boston Commons...I think.
That concludes part one of day one. More pictures to come :)
